Dragon Riders in the Rwynn kingdom are prisoners, bound captives to blood-thirsty monsters, until either the dragon or— more likely— the rider dies. Cheng, a prisoner of the Draong Akaimo, for twenty years, escapes his mortally wounded dragon in the middle of a war with Kosu. A war he couldn't care less about. Taking refuge in an abandoned cave, waiting for the fighting to finish he finds a wounded man doing the same.
